A quick thank you to the donors of the Vestment Fund for Priests. I was able to complete the mock-up for a French baroque style chasuble. This design process took almost 29 hours all up with the planning and painting. The borders and trims will probably be a simple gold braided cord.
We have a virtual atelier!
I was able to set up a virtual studio of sorts in Trello for our clients and patrons. Trello is a platform that allows people to observe or collaborate on a project. Patrons can follow the process and leave comments or ask questions. Since this is a private board, you will need an invitation. Just email me your name and email at: suzanne (at) sadlerandhobbes.com and add “Please invite me” on the subject line.
What’s next . . .
The next step is to make the embroidery stencil, which I will start tomorrow. Since this design is a bit too fiddly to make a detachable appliqué, I need to embroider the goldwork directly onto the custom silk vestment fabric. This is where I need your help.
I need funds to proceed with the oversized frame and fabric purchase. In your kindness, would you please contribute to our GoFundMe project:
If you cannot contribute (and even if you did), please share this project far and wide!
Until next time . . .2
